Start with a template, customize, and export.
Everything OpenQR can do for you.
From simple URLs to complex vCards, WiFi credentials, calendar events, SMS messages, geo-coordinates, and more. All types are free with no restrictions.
Choose your own foreground and background colors to match your brand. Adjust error correction levels to balance between file size and scan reliability.
Once your QR is generated, open it directly in Canva with one click. Design professional-looking flyers, business cards, posters, and more without leaving your workflow.
No tricks. No trials. No "freemium" gates on core features.
OpenQR was built out of frustration. Every QR generator online either charges you, expires your codes, stamps a watermark, or demands your email. We thought that was ridiculous.
QR codes are a simple technology. Generating one doesn't require servers, user accounts, or subscriptions. The math happens entirely in your browser — so why should it cost anything?
OpenQR is completely client-side. When you enter a URL or WiFi password, it never leaves your device. There's no database storing your inputs, no analytics tracking what you encode, and no account to delete when you're done.

OpenQR ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use OpenQR at openqr.app (the "Service").
The short version: we collect almost nothing, and what little we do collect is never sold.
OpenQR generates QR codes entirely in your browser using JavaScript. The following data never reaches our servers:
Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically log basic technical data including:
This data is used solely for security and performance monitoring. It is not linked to any personal identity and is deleted after 30 days.
OpenQR does not use tracking cookies. We may use a minimal session cookie to remember your UI preferences (e.g., selected QR type), which expires when you close your browser.
Canva integration: If you click "Edit in Canva," you will be redirected to Canva's platform. Canva's own privacy policy governs any data you provide to them. We do not share data with Canva.
Google Fonts: We load fonts from Google Fonts. This may result in a request to Google's servers. Refer to Google's Privacy Policy for details.
Since your QR content is processed entirely client-side, there is no transmission of sensitive data to our servers. We use HTTPS for all web traffic as a standard security practice.
OpenQR is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us.
We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
